Over the years I have built up key relationships with organisations and individuals with whom I work closely.

The Mentoring Development Group

For over a decade Mary Connor, Julia Pokora, Nancy Redfern and I have been developing and refining programmes that equip NHS clinicians and managers with mentoring skills. In 1994, the first Development and Mentoring Programme was delivered in the Yorkshire Region, and since then over 400 people have attended programmes in the Northern and Yorkshire Region.
Participants have come from over 50 NHS organisations and included consultants from acute and community Trusts, SpRs, GPs, dentists, public health doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists and managers. There is now national interest in our programmes and we have delivered them for Royal Colleges, Trusts and Deaneries elsewhere in the country.

British and European Universities

I am an Honorary Fellow in the School for Health, Durham University, and the director of the European Health Leaders Programme, designed for top managers and clinicians throughout Europe.

This unique programme is delivered by a partnership of five European Universities:

• Sweden - Karolinska Institute, Medical Management Centre
• Hungary - Semmelweis University, Health Services Management Training Centre
• Portugal – The National School of public Health Lisbon
• The Netherlands - Julius Center Utrecht University

Salomons Centre for Leadership and Management Development

Working with colleagues from Salomons, I have over the past few years co-directed two Emerging Leaders Programme for aspiring NHS directors of finance in the North West and Yorkshire and Humberside SHA areas
